Welcome to Verhoeckx Mushrooms & Fruit. We have been an apple grower since the 1950s and in addition to apples, we are also suppliers of other hard fruits and mushrooms. On this page we would like to tell you more about our own apple growing and working methods.
Own apple orchard
As an apple grower, we naturally have access to our own apple orchard where the best homegrown apples grow every summer. We also work closely with an established group of Dutch apple growers to offer a variety of apple varieties. This way we can always offer enough products.
Apple growing, storage, packaging and transportation
Verhoeckx is a very versatile apple grower because in addition to growing apples, we can also take care of storage, packaging and transportation. Thus, we have at our disposal a large number of low-oxygen storage cells in which we can store our apples under ideal conditions. For packing apples, we use the latest sorting machines and can provide apples with virtually any bulk or small packaging required. We can also completely take care of the logistics process thanks to our own conditioned trucks.
Pears and hard fruit
Of course, as an apple grower, we also have our own pear orchard where we also grow high quality pears. Again, we work with several Dutch pear growers, allowing us to supply Conference, Gieser Wildeman, Beurré Alexander Lucas and Doyenné du Comice pear varieties.
