Verhoeckx is a mushroom and button mushroom grower, wholesaler, and full-service supplier of various types of mushrooms. In addition to our own nursery, we collaborate with various local mushroom growers, which allows us to offer a very wide and fresh selection of mushrooms.

Mushroom grower since 1958

The Verhoeckx family has been active as mushroom growers since the 1950s. This started small by Richard Verhoeckx as a small-scale mushroom grower. His brother Frits later took over the company, whose son Paul Verhoeckx is now the current owner of our family business. Today, our company has grown to a team of over 50 employees in a modern building of 7000 square meters.

Own mushroom farm

We are also mushroom growers. We grow some of our mushrooms ourselves in our own mushroom farm. This allows us to respond flexibly to various market conditions at all times. The varieties of mushrooms that we do not grow ourselves are cultivated by local growers, with whom we have built a close, long-standing partnership.

Cultivation, storage, packaging and transportation

Not only do we grow our mushrooms, as a total supplier we also take care of storage, packaging and transportation. With modern cooling systems, we ensure that mushrooms are cooled and stored at the ideal temperature immediately after picking. We then provide the most optimal, suitable packaging and can cut the mushrooms into ready-to-eat slices. With our conditioned trucks, we also ensure transportation in the best conditions.

Our species of mushrooms

Thanks to cooperation with local mushroom growers, we always offer choice from a diverse assortment. We are supplier and grower of Yellow oyster mushrooms, Nameko, White shimeji, Field mushrooms, Eryngii, Brown shimeji, Oyster mushrooms, Shii-take, Portabella, Chestnut mushrooms and White mushrooms. Several kinds of mushrooms we grow ourselves, so we are among others mushroom grower, nameko grower, field mushroom grower and oyster mushroom grower. Seasonally, we can also supply wild mushrooms. We offer the possibility to purchase cut or whole mushrooms, also in mixed varieties.
